Wow it has kind of been a really long and not to great week, but some extra prayers might help out a little bit. My new comp has been out 10 months and is still Jr. Comp. and I don't think he likes the idea of being Jr. to someone so young. Ok - so about Trek. I am so excited for all of you that are going and I hope that everyone will have a good and enjoyable time. We have been doing a lot of service this last week. Today is the first day since last Monday that it hasn't rained and most of the days it has rained really hard so we have been out doing service for people and trying to stop the creeks and rivers from flooding into yards and property. We have been going out to the Westdrops (the farm) and helping him a lot as well. Two of his corrals for his cows have been totally washed away by all the water so we have been going out there and helping him rebuild them and what ever he needs help with in this hard time. It has been a really fun time being able to do service like this. We had a new investigator we found the other day and met with her and taught her a little bit and then Monday we stopped by to see how her weekend was. She said that she couldn't meet with us anymore because her husband wasn't interested and she didn't want to ruin her relationship but she said that she still wants us to stop by every once in a while and check up on her and she hopes that her husband will change his mind so they can both learn more. So that is a really good cool thing that happened but at the same time it really sucks cuz now we are back to nothing as far as investigators. Oh well we will just keep working until we find them :) Well I had better be going. I love you so very much and I could definitely use the prayers this transfer.

letter 05/21/08
Well good news. I am staying in Pincher Creek. My companion is being transferred to Medicine Hat. The President called with transfer news late on Monday. My new companions name is Elder Justin Bosley from Mesa Arizona. He has been out for a few months more than I have but the president ask me to become the senior companion. I was very shocked that he would make me senior so fast. I think that I am the first missionary out of all the ones that came out with me to go senior companion. I am still really surprised but I will do my very best. Please remember me in your prayers. One great thing about being senior companion that I love is that I actually get to drive!!! Wow it seems like forever since I drove last time and it was a little weird, but I'm getting back in the groove now. The weather here has been really good actually. We get to take our jackets off full time once June starts, but we haven't been wearing them a lot anyways because it's been so nice outside. Well I better end till next week. I look forward to telling you about how thing are going in Pincher Creek and about my new companion. The gospels true tell all your friends.

Dear Friends and Family:
It was so great to call home on Sunday. I have been doing great since then and have been thinking a little bit more about home and things but it will be ok I don't think about it so much to where I don't get any work done but its more than usual this past week. Gas in Canada is a lot more than down there wow!!!! It’s like $1.20 a Liter that is so crazy wow I am glad we don’t have to pay for gas out of our own pocket. I think that is so cool about the two Mormons on American idol. The members we have been living with while in Pincher Creek have been watching it and one night she said for us to come upstairs and she had it on and she wanted to point out who they were and all that fun stuff. It was kind of funny but a lot of the members we have been seeing have been telling us about the Mormons on American idol and how well they were doing. Well I had better be going and I love you all so much and I will talk to you next week on Tuesday as it is transfer day. Please tell every one for the next week to write using the mission home address as there is a chance they may be closing this area as it is quite slow. Beautiful Alberta is great this morning, a little rainy but still good. Nothing really new in Pincher Creek, just the same old stuff. The weather is getting better and it’s getting warmer so that’s good. It’s actually raining today so it’s not the best but I don't care what the weather is today because for me it’s the best day ever because I get to go to the Cardston temple today!!! The baptism is going great we got it all set up and she will be baptized on this Saturday.

Hi from Pincher Creek, where the weather is getting better. Yesterday we got to take off our jackets because it was so warm. Mom said the temp. was 73 at 5:30 yesterday morning that was our high for the day. How crazy is that? I think that I'm getting used to this area and the work. We have a ward to cover but we also cover a branch out on the Indian Reservation. We don't go out there much because it's kind of dangerous and a lot of the natives don't like us. It makes it hard because that is half of our area. The ward is smaller than Springdale and the town of Pincher Creek has about 2,500 people. There are 3 other really small towns around that have members in them. They come to Pincher Creek for church. I'm not sure if you want to know what kind of service we are doing, but let me just share one of my days with you. Most of the time we go help one of the members on his farm. One day this last week we went to shovel out his barn where the cows had been having their babies, and so there was a lot of really disgusting stuff we were cleaning up. He came running into the barn and said a cow is having her baby and she needs some help so we went right out there and I pulled the baby calf out and wow let me tell you that was pretty um... interesting. But when the day was over I had actually had a pretty good time, and more than anything I was just happy to be out doing something physical. Well I better close for now. Thanks so much for all the letters, packages and support. When things get tough as they sometimes do I know that I have people back home who love and support me, thanks for that, and all your prayers in my behalf.
04/23/08 Letter
Life is good here but much different than it was in Calgary. I got really used to being able to teach people all the time and go tracting and just talk to non members and here that is almost nonexistent. We do however get to spend time with less actives and that has its own rewards. It is also fun to get out and do service. Sometimes it takes us outdoors on farms and ranches and it is so beautiful here. There are hundreds of windmills around Pincher Creek and they are so majestic and cool so all of you back in Idaho that do not want these, reconsider as they add to the beauty of the area not distract and provide a renewable source of energy in this time of energy crisis. I have taken a few pictures of these and I will be sending them home very soon. This last week we got a little surprise. For a while it’s been really nice weather just like spring time. Last Saturday we woke up to 18 inches of snow on top of the cars where we measured and that was on the 19th of April. I was so surprised but they said don't be surprised if its all still here be the beginning of May. After conference I got thinking about something. I have always loved to listen to President Monson but I just could not help but notice that the mantel of the Profit has passed to him. He is going to be an amazing prophet and I think that he couldn't’t have chosen any better counselors they will be amazing and I am looking forward to hearing from them for a long time.
04/16/08 Letter
My new area it is pretty small but so beautiful oh I love it here. My new place I am in right now is actually known as the windiest city in all of North America. The work in Pincher Creek is pretty slow but it’s still a fun experience. To try and tell you how slow this place really is, this last week my new comp and I handed out 5 Books of Mormon and that was a weekly record for Pincher Creek. In Calgary where I was just serving we would hand out 5-8 books a day so it's a little different and I have been trying to get used to it but it might take a little time but I still do like this place. I have some really good news but it’s not as good as the time before when I got to tell you this but we are going to have a baptism this month or the first of next month. This will be the first convert baptism since January 2006. Wow I just counted it up and I will hit my four month mark on this Saturday.
