Letter 06-24-09

wow ya I really can't believe that time is going be so fast right now. But oh well nothing I can do about it, just keep working as hard as I can right? So I have a cool story for you. This last week I hit my 18 month mark and so that means I got to burn a pair of pants. So that night before we went in, my comp and I went to Kendon Clark (a way sweet member) and we poured gas all over a pair of my old slacks and up in flames they went. It was so cool and fun to know that the next thing I will be burning is a suit when I'm gong home. how crazy is that?

Also this week we had an elder’s quorum party at a member's out in the country. We had BBQ and water volleyball then regular volleyball and a few other games. It was so much fun. They also had a man made pond in their yard and one of the members had his birthday that day so we decided it would be great fun to throw him in the pond for his birthday. Let's just say I almost had to give my mission president a call for going swimming while on my mission. I had one of his hands and when we threw him in he kept a hold of me and had it not been for my comp grabbing my pants I would have gone in with him. It was so funny but then he was set on getting us back so we ended up leaving shortly after that so we didn't go swimming.

Ok so there are my little stories for this week. Now onto other matters. We get our new mission president the first of July and we have a big conference with him on the 3rd so I will get to meet him in just a few days. His name is President Archibald, sorry I don't know his first name, and he is from St. George Utah. one of the elders I came out with played golf with his son and so he knows him quite well and it just so happens that this Elder is also one of the AP's right now so that’s kind of cool. I will need to ask him if he is any relation to Grandma since she is an Archibald. My comp is elder Clark brim hall who is from Salt Lake City, Utah. dang I was doing so good at the first of my mission with not serving with a missionary from Utah but now it seems like all I have is Utah companions: (no I really don't care I love all my comps).

I’m glad that everyone had a good time this weekend and you all got o see each other for Hadley’s blessing. I can't wait until I get to be part of that again, but then I will be missing my mission so I guess it’s win/lose kind of situation but I think I can deal with it.

Well I sure do hope that you all have a great week and I will be talking to you next week. Oh and I almost forgot but next Wednesday is Canada day so the library will be closed so I will probably be emailing on Tuesday just so you know.
I love you all and pray for you all the time.
