OK, one thing that everyone needs to know about is that I am getting a new companion on Sunday night. There is a missionary out in British Columbia that needs to be in a city for medical needs and so my companion is going down by Pincher Creek in a place called Claresholm. One of the elders there is going out to B.C. and I am getting the elder from B.C. I have heard a lot of really good things about this new comp I'm getting and whats really cool is he is from England! So that will be pretty cool. I will still be senior companion and he is actually a transfer younger than I am. I have not yet served with someone from Utah.
We haven't started teaching the three kids yet. They haven't gotten back from their dads yet and I'm hoping that when they do get back we can meet with them and get at least the 14 year old baptised.
This week has been kinda crazy with the emergency transfer and everything, so I don't have a lot to write about this week. But I'm sure I will next week. I'm way sad that I lost my companion I had, we were getting along really well and working together too so this new guy has something to live up to, but I'm sure he will be fine.

A Story from Josh
Well, I didn't want to put this story on because the first time I read this it scared me but mom wants me to. She says it is so Josh. So, here you go....
Other than that, nothing much is really new other than I thought you would like to know that I think I have found a girl that I would not mind coming back up here for. If my parents are ok with it I might come back up here after my mission. Her name is Lakota and she is really beautiful. One night we sat on the couch at an investigators house and by the end of the night we were having a fun time and we were also sharing a few strawberries together. I would eat the first half and she would eat the rest. I have been looking forward to going back there soon so I can see her again. Oh maybe I should mention that she is also half wolf and half Alaskan malamute:) just in case you were getting a little worried about that and me up in the wild wilderness of Lethbridge Canada.

letter 07/16/08
Family and Friends
I love Lethbridge, it is my favorite area so far in my mission and I have only been here for a few weeks. I told President that I would not mind if I spent the rest of my mission down here so I hope he listens to me and at least keeps me here for longer than two transfers. My new companion is great. He is from Wilton, Connecticut and we get along so well. Really there is no junior or senior companion between the two of us and it is great. The wards remind me a lot of Meadows 8th which is good and bad. Good because of all the good people and bad because it makes me miss you. We are getting to know them a lot better as the days keep going on. I enjoy them more and more everyday. Since we are back in the city we do go tracting but it’s not as successful like up in Calgary. We get out 5-10 Books of Mormon a week so not bad. as for our day it kind of depends because we cover three wards, we could do anything at any part of the day or one thing all day long just in a different ward at different times. We do work with less actives a lot and working with investigators and such.
We had a pretty cool experience on Sunday. The Bishop in one of our wards came up and asked if he could speak to us in his office. We went in and he said I just wanted you elders to know that we are going to have three baptisms. Both of our jaws dropped I'm sure, and he told us that a 14 yr old nonmember girl had just gotten back from an amazing youth conference with the stake and she came home and told her less active mom that she wanted to be baptized. So we are going to teach her and her two younger siblings that have not been baptized either. They are three kids of a less active lady and to make things better this may also get the mom active again! I am so excited!!! That is way awesome and if everyone could please pray for me and my comp that would be good because they are with there non member father for the next two weeks so I hope and pray that they are still willing to learn and be baptized when they get back.
I almost forgot to tell you something! My companion and I sang in Sacrament Meeting last Sunday. We sang hold to the rod and I can’t tell you how many compliments we got, it was great. So there you go I am using my talents. It was a lot of fun and now the other wards want us to sing as well. I love having the chance to learn so much about the gospel it is great.

letter 07/02/08
Hurrah for Israel!!!!!
I got a transfer call yesterday morning and I am no longer in Pincher Creek! I am now in a town about the size of Twin Falls called Lethbridge. It is way pretty here and a nice change. I am serving with Elder Pratt. He has been out 15 months. I don't know why President did this to me again but he made me senior companion again. I have only been here for half of the day but I can tell already that I am going to love this place. I like my new companion he is a cool kid and he is from Connecticut. So far I have not yet served with a Utard (someone from Utah). I hope I can keep the streak going. Also, I am the driver of a brand new 2008 ford fusion (one of the most coveted cars in the mission). Me and my new companion are purging into this new area which means that neither of us served there last transfer. There were sister missionaries there last transfer and they got moved and we got moved in so this is going to be pretty tough to get to know all the places and everything when neither one of us has been here before. Have I told you how excited I am right now? Cuz I am :)
Another awesome thing about this transfer is that my trainer Elder Jensen is now my Zone Leader, fun huh? I don't know how, but there are like 4 or 5 Missionaries in my zone that already know me and have heard about me and are freaking excited to be serving around me this transfer. I was so blown away. I didn't think anything was getting out of my area about me so I hope I can live up to people’s expectations and still be myself. Wow, have I told you that I am way excited?!>!
The day before transfer calls, my Bishop in Pincher Creek is the boss for a windmill farm. I talked him into taking me and my comp up one of the giant windmills before I left. So one evening he gives us a call and says I’ll be by to pick you up in twenty minutes. Get some different clothes on and get your cameras ready. It was so freaking sweet!!! We got up on top of one of the highest ones he has and it is 225 ft tall it was nuts but so way fun. I took some pictures from up there to show you.
Earlier that day me and my companion helped a member demo a trailer so I have videos and pictures of that as well so you should have a good time looking at all of those.
So how was your recovery from the trek? I’ll bet it was a great time and sounded like it was full of challenges and testimony building experiences.
well I better be going. I still love you and everything that you do for me and all the wonderful prayers. I love you with all my heart.

letter 06-18-08
I am loving this week so far. It has been the best so far this transfer. I am on exchanges with my District Leader but I love this guy, he is so funny and just a good guy. His name is Elder Rizkowsky and he is from Boise Idaho! Just thought I’d throw that part in, but we have been doing really good together and I would not mind one bit if I served with him next transfer. I am loving my mission it is so much fun.
I have something else to tell you but on Sunday I started taking piano lessons from one of the little boys in the ward it is so cool I can now play the top hand of called to serve. I was very proud of myself I hope I can get better at it while I’m out.
I am so excited, tomorrow I hit six months out!!! woo hoo!!! well since it is my six month mark tomorrow I will be burning a tie and actually we are going to Waterton park today for our p-day. Elder Everett the elder I came out with is serving in Cardston and so he and I are going to burn a tie one day early. we are planning on hiking to the top of a mountain and then burning our ties together. it should be fun; I’m really looking forward to it. This National Park we are going to is half in Canada and half in the U.S. Wow that is weird to say that I could be in the states if I wanted to today.
That is way cool that Burley a new sports park with athletic turf. First I missed our new bleachers and now I won’t get to play our county rivals on this new turf. The only place I ever got to play on sports turf was at the BSU stadium and that was practice games at camp. I hope to see it some day.
This week has been so nice, the weather is finally getting and staying good. I have been outside a lot and getting a little bit of a tan. it’s nice since I've been covered up from all winter. We have been working on finding more people to teach and we found one and on that same day lost one of our other ones so we will be at the same place we left off but we are trying.
Well I had better be going so we can leave on time for p-day. I’ll make sure and take lots of good pictures. Hope to hear all about the trek next week and I will be praying for you while you are gone. I really wish I could be going with your guys I think it would be so much fun. (I hope to add pictures to the blog soon also)

letter 06-12-08
Hi from Rainy Pincher Creek
Nothing new is really happening in Pincher Creek other than the fact that you need to send "all" mail to the Mission Home in Calgary now. I know this is a pain but the post office found out that we are living in a member’s home and no longer living in an apartment so they will be closing our P.O. Box at the end of the month. Anything I get after that will just get sent back to the sender. The weather has been so crappy lately, I have hated it. It has been cloudy and rainy for almost a solid week! But I'm sure the farmers are happy and somewhere someone’s prayers are being answered so I won’t complain too much about it. The creek is flooding and a lot of problems with a member that has a farm and the creek runs right in the middle of it. We have been going out there to help him try and fix it from the last big rain we had. The last time it took away about half of his corral and I hate to see what has happened to it now. I feel so bad for him I love the family and I love going out to help him but with my comp situation we don't get to go out there as much as I would like. We went to dinner with a member family last night and had elk steak. They were amazing and he has a sweet tie trade as well. Next transfers will be on July 2nd so a few weeks away. Thanks to all of you for your great words of advice and encouragement. I don't know how to really say this but it always seems what you tell me to do works out the best for me :) so thank you so so much and I will strive to be the best that I can be. This last week we had a big sit down with a few Jehovah’s witnesses and very strongly discussed our religions. What was awesome about it is I have one of their bibles and it is a lot different from ours. I have gone through and marked it all up and learned quite a bit of stuff about their religion and so I had some very hard questions that I asked them and they just kind of danced around them and changed the subject. It was a lot of fun and we went to go back because they said they wanted to and then another lady answered the door and gave us our Book of Mormon back and said they weren’t interested in talking any more. They did some research and they know all about us believing about the Trinity and all this other stuff. I just want to go back to clear some things up because all the things she said we believed in that they found are all false so just to fill them in a little bit. I know I have said this a lot of other times but I am so jealous that some of you get to go on this trek and I don't. It sounds so amazing and I pray that it goes good for you. You are so lucky to have this opportunity and I really hope that you and all the kids will learn a lot from it.
